Sheer Beauty is a fresh vision by a seasoned professional, an unveiling of a new collaboration between photographer and subject. Boyer is a sought-after commercial photographer whose current specialties include yachting, lifestyle, seascapes and fine art portraiture. Boyer’s work runs the gamut from war-torn 1970s Vietnam to mega-yachts of Monaco, from Mayans plying the waters of the Rio Dulce to fashion models in Miami. His uncanny ability to finesse images from such a diverse subject matter has met with acclaim from clients and critics, including the nomination of several Sheer Beauty images in the juried Photography Masters Cup.
It’s not surprising that Boyer would choose to break new ground with Sheer Beauty. He is perhaps the world’s only professional photographer who also holds Inc. Magazine’s distinction of Entrepreneur of the Year. He also instituted the nation’s very first scholarship for entrepreneurship exclusively for women, as part of the Center for Entrepreneurship at Florida Atlantic University that he helped found. Boyer has earmarked a portion of proceeds from the sale of Sheer Beauty for this scholarship program.
"I discovered something about myself in these images," says Boyer about the making of Sheer Beauty. "I am a product of order and symmetry, enamored with the architecture of the human body. I delight in using fabric and light to celebrate nature’s own geometry."
Boyer, a member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), has studied portraiture with leading photographers Elizabeth Opalenick and Joyce Tenneson.
Boyer lives and works in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
